BRB...Taking My Own Advice
For the past two weeks, I have been exploring the theme of "play" for my next essay. I've been so immersed in my research and tapping into my more playful side that I haven't taken the time to finish the essay I started two weeks ago. 😩
Rather than hastily trying to meet a self-imposed deadline, I decided to follow my own advice and engage in more meaningful activities. The weight of my recent posts has made me crave something lighter—a sort of palate cleanser. So, I took it upon myself to spend more time idiling, as Jamaicans would say.
Idling:Â Â Being lazy or not doing anything productive. It can also convey a sense of hanging around without purpose.
My purpose, of course, was to have some much-needed fun:
Dancing in my studio.
Writing a romance short story.
Spending nights snuggled up reading
Binge-watching Suits.
Next week, I will share more in-depth lessons on the power of play. But until then, enjoy this video of me embracing the spirit of play. 🤗
