Welcome to Monday Mewd, my weekly vibe check, where I share some of everything I’ve been experiencing lately. Think of it as a visual journal, a fluid creative space where I mix things up—from music and photography to videos, books, movies, and everything in between. It’s a place for the things I like, the things I don’t, and everything that’s making me feel something.
First Things First
Happy New Year! It’s surreal to me the growth Becoming Moken has experienced in the past four months. We gained over 100 new subscribers in less than a month and a half. Many of you resonated with my story of walking away from the man I once loved. In the comments, you’ve shared heartfelt stories of leaving jobs, friendships and relationships. I’m grateful for the time you spent reading my words. Though we’ve never met, I’m happy that you’re here.
Mewd of The Week | Blissfully Aligned 🌸
Mewd (noun) A mood, vibe, or feeling that’s uniquely personal, often expressed through creative or spontaneous means. It’s that energy you’re riding with, whether it’s a chill, carefree moment or a burst of inspiration. Mewd can capture everything from music playlists to personal style, art, and even attitude. It’s fluid, ever-changing, and deeply tied to one's state of being in the moment.
The theme for 2025 is EMBODY—an extension of 2024's theme, NUFF, which encouraged me to overcome my fear of being seen. While NUFF was about seeking external validation, EMBODY invites me to embrace the woman I have become and create space for her to flourish—in my work, relationships, and creative pursuits. Intuitively, I know this year is about integrating the universal and personal truths I've uncovered during these six transformative years of solitude.
2024 was a year of personal wins—a welcome change of fate from the last decade. For the first time in a long while, I feel like the captain of my own ship, charting a course that is both exhilarating and deeply meaningful. Most things have not gone according to plan, but my ability to navigate uncertainty gracefully has left me ready to step boldly into this new year. Every step I take feels divinely guided, and I’m excited to see where this journey leads.
“Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference.”

Things I found interesting on Substack.
1// The Mirror Lies - Reclaiming Your Self-Worth Beyond Appearance
For years, Queens all around the world believed the lies of the Mirror. But in reality, the Mirror was never magical. It was a tool, manipulated to keep you doubting your worth.
2// a well fkd woman is dangerous
her pleasure rippling from the base of her spine into the quantum field
3// The Love I desire is out there for me
But the desire in this dream was one that was enjoyable. It wasn’t just underlined in lust, but the hunger to understand who I was holistically. It’s the one where you want to experience someone outside of yourself.
